About

Leh, the heart of Ladakh, is a breathtaking high-altitude town at 11,500 ft, surrounded by the majestic Himalayas. Known for its ancient monasteries, vibrant markets, and rich Tibetan-Buddhist culture, Leh is home to iconic landmarks like ShantiStupa, Leh Palace, and Magnetic Hill.

A thrilling journey from Leh takes you to Nubra Valley, via Khardung La (18,380 ft), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Known as the Valley of Flowers, Nubra offers surreal landscapes, the Hunder Sand Dunes, and a chance to ride Bactrian camels. The Diskit Monastery, with its towering Buddha statue, offers stunning valley views.

Hidden within Nubra is Turtuk, India’s northernmost village, near the Pakistan border. Opened to tourists in 2010, Turtuk showcases Balti culture, lush apricot orchards, and unique traditions, offering an offbeat cultural experience.

From Nubra, the journey continues to the mesmerizing Pangong Lake at 14,270 ft. This high-altitude saltwater lake, stretching into Tibet, changes colors throughout the day, creating a surreal experience. Camping by Pangong under a starry sky is truly unforgettable.

Further south lies Hanle, one of the most remote and least explored villages in Ladakh. Home to the Hanle Observatory, one of the world’s highest astronomical observatories, Hanle offers unparalleled night sky views. The village, surrounded by vast barren landscapes, provides a sense of isolation and serenity.

This Leh-Nubra-Pangong-Turtuk-Hanle expedition is the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and breathtaking scenery, making it a once-in-a-lifetime experience
